Village Baker, a small Utah-based chain that specializes in sandwiches and pizzas, is getting ready to make its Arizona debut in Gilbert, at the northeast corner of Lindsay and Ocotillo.
The company’s seventh location is expected to open later this year, although an exact opening date has yet to be announced. Village Baker recently posted job applications online looking for management for the new location, meaning the new Arizona site could open as soon as Summer 2024. When it opens, customers can expect an extensive menu of mouth-watering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, with an emphasis on pizza and sandwiches. Village Baker is also available to cater to larger events or parties.
The company’s first location outside of Utah is set to open on its 30th anniversary, proving the concept is nowhere near slowing down. In addition to the new Gilbert location, Village Baker is also working on a new location in Utah at Saratoga Springs, 952 North Exchange Drive. The company is hiring for that location, which is expected to open in the next few months. All locations offer pizzas by the slice at lunch, and freshly made bread loaves are available for purchase throughout the day.
“Since 1994, Village Baker has set out to create a restaurant where families and the workforce could get a fast meal with real food that leaves you feeling good,” according to the company’s website. “Our mission statement is to be a positive presence in the lives of our customers, employees, and our community. We take pride in our real, tasty food made with unbleached and bromate-free flour, extra virgin olive oil, and a top-rated cheese that we grate ourselves. Our bread is made from wheat milled on-site daily with no preservatives or added fats. We take the time to make all of our treats from scratch in our stores daily.”
