Prime Pizza, the celebrated Los Angeles-based business known for its New York-style pies, is making its debut in the OC. A new location will open in mid-2025 in Mission Viejo, at 24420 Alicia Parkway, Suite D, according to county health records.

The new spot is slated to open in the summer. It will have the company’s signature offerings, including round and square pies, an array of pasta, sandwiches, and sides. The team prepares dough daily and allows it to proof overnight, ensuring a perfect crust.

This marks a significant milestone as the brand ventures into Orange County for the first time. The Mission Viejo opening is part of a larger expansion plan that includes three other locations: Northridge (spring 2025), Brea (summer 2025), and Torrance (fall 2025).

Prime Pizza has become a staple in the Los Angeles food scene. Founded by Zak Fishman and James Starr over a decade ago, the chain initially started in the Fairfax District and quickly gained popularity for its handmade dough, fresh toppings, and classic recipes. Over the years, Prime Pizza has expanded to seven locations, adding Altadena, Little Tokyo, Burbank, Pico-Santa Monica, El Segundo, and West Los Angeles.
