Hook & Anchor, a well-loved seafood restaurant known for its fresh and flavorful dishes, is expanding, according to a post in a local Facebook group. The restaurant will be opening a new location in Dana Point at 34091 La Plaza.

This new spot will reportedly be open by the spring of 2025. It is situated in the former ROM Beer Co. space. That business closed but still operates out of its San Clemente location.

This will be Hook & Anchor’s second location. Originally based in Newport Beach, the flagship moved to Costa Mesa earlier this year, as reported by What Now OC. It was also recognized by Yelp as #5 in its Top 100 Seafood Spots for 2024.

The restaurant has become a more upscale place over the years, with table service and a full bar. Menu items include the famous lobster roll, ceviche, steak, and a raw seafood bar. Its Costa Mesa location regularly features live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
