After five years in its space, Level 1 Arcade Bar is getting ready to close its doors in Gilbert at 60 W Vaughn Avenue, Site #107, to relocate elsewhere in the area.
The company recently announced on social media that its location in downtown Gilbert’s Heritage District will close on January 18 because it could not negotiate a new lease with its landlord. While it’s unfortunate news, it’s not the end. Level 1 Arcade Bar has announced that a new Gilbert location will be announced soon while the Mesa site remains open. When the new Gilbert site opens, it will feature arcade games, pinball machines, an eclectic food menu, and a full bar.
“For the last two years, we’ve been hard at work creating plans for our next Gilbert location,” according to the announcement. “An announcement and groundbreaking should be forthcoming shortly, and we literally cannot wait to show you what we’re planning! We’ve secured a much larger space in an insanely cool new development (and we’re bringing some rad brings with us to join the part.”
This is a massive accomplishment for the ownership team, which opened its downtown Mesa in 2023 and remains open during this transition. Customers are encouraged to visit this location or one of the group’s other concepts, including Rebel Wine Lounge, Alchemy 48 Speakeasy, and Outcast Doughnuts. Those with tokens or gift cards for the Gilbert location can use them at the downtown Mesa site.
“Gilbert, it would be impossible for us to express our gratitude deeply enough for us to feel that it was sufficient for what you gave us. Thank you for the laughs. Thank you for the fun times. Thank you for the parties, the costume nights, the friendships, and even for the tears as we write this. Because the tears are only a reflection of the good times we had together and the love that we have for you for the way you’ve always embraced the homegrown concept of a few regular guys. Thank you so… so much. Level 1 Gilbert 2.0 is now loading.”
