Baskin-Robbins, the delicious dessert chain with locations nationwide, is opening a handful of new locations in Phoenix.
The company will start by opening a new location in the Asante Trails retail development in Surprise, which recently announced its first phase of confirmed retailers, according to Phoenix Business Journal. Franchise owner Tariq Mohammed tells What Now Phoenix that he expects to open this location in September 2025. The franchisee says this is one of two locations he is currently working on, with the other site projected to open in the first quarter of 2026.
Baskin-Robbins is one of the new tenants at Asante Trails, joining Farmer Boys, Jimmy John’s, Circle K, Dip Nail Bar, Heartland Dental, and Clean Freak Car Wash. The first phase will have 19,000 square feet available for lease, with construction starting in the first quarter and an investment of $50 million for 50,000 square feet of retail space. This is part of a larger 90-acre mixed-use development, including a new HonorHealth hospital, housing, and additional retail spaces. The second phase of the retail development is expected to begin in early 2026, adding another $50 million for 100,000 square feet across 20 acres.
This is the latest from Scottsdale-based SimonCRE, which is also developing the Village at Prasada and Prasada North complex along Loop 303 and Elm Street at Surprise Center. Ed Beeh, Mike Polachek, and Brian Polachek of SRS Real Estate Partners handle leasing for the retail portion of Asante Trails. More tenants are expected to be announced in the future for the shopping development at the southwest corner of Pat Tillman Boulevard and 163rda Avenue.
