Slick City Action Park, a family amusement center featuring indoor slides, attractions, and food and drink options, is preparing to open a new location in Oceanside.

The company announced earlier this year that the company is in lease negotiations for a new corporate-owned location in Oceanside, which is now expected to open in Fall 2025, according to the company’s website. This will be the first Slick City Action Park in California and one of many new locations for the company, with nine open sites. The company has 17 locations under construction and 37 franchise territories awarded, so fans can expect more locations to open throughout the country.

When the new Oceanside locations open late next year, customers can expect a massive indoor playground with plenty of slides, other sports air courts, and tower-built soft play. While Slick City does not allow outside food or drink, the entertainment center has a large selection of hot food, snacks, candy, and beverages available at the park. The onsite cafe features something for everyone, ranging from quick snacks to a limited-time Nashville-style beef burger-topped grilled onions, pickles, and melted cheese.

“Slick City Action Parks was founded in 2021 when Bron Launsby partnered with the inventor of Slick Slide, Gary Schmit, to bring a new and exciting concept to in the adventure park industry,” according to the company’s website. “The team has since grown to include senior management and advisors from Burger King, Sky Zone, Universal Studios, and other major experiential, retail, and franchise brands. We’re dedicated to constant innovation – unveiling new slides frequently and focusing on in-house development processes. Thirty-four patents have already been filed or granted for our proprietary slides and technology. Our first parks opened in Denver, CO, St. Louis, MO, Katy (Houston), TX, and Peoria, AZ, and have been expanding into new communities across the country ever since.”
