A new Temecula winery concept is coming from the former owners of a popular local brewery. Refuge Brewing’s operators have traded in their beer mugs for wine glasses, embarking on a venture called Haven Vineyards.

While an address has not been announced, the company’s website states that the vineyard is “nestled into the face of a north-facing hill with soil built over centuries of deposit from a creek that cuts through the valley”.

While the property is being worked on, the Haven Vineyards team spent the last few months of their lease at the Refuge Brewing spot to start the wine-making process. Instagram posts show the progress last fall, moving in custom Ss Brewtech wine tanks and equipment, fermenting, pressing, and barreling 48 barrels.

The owners of Haven Vineyards did not respond to a request for comment before publication.
