Corky’s Homestyle Kitchen & Bakery is set to open its 13th location soon in Highland, liquor licensing reports show. The restaurant, known for its homestyle breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings, will be moving into the property at 27822 Greenspot Rd Suite 1.

The Highland eatery will feature a 4,500-square-foot dining area with 32 tables seating 173 guests, plus a 1,100-square-foot outdoor patio with 14 tables, accommodating an additional 73 guests. Construction and permitting is in progress, Marketing Manager Greg Bellows told What Now OC.

This new location is expected to open in April. The team will begin the hiring process the third week of February, and hold job fairs for interested applicants. A liquor license has also been applied for, and that is shown as “pending”.

Corky’s Kitchen & Bakery was founded by Mike and Jennifer Towles in 1999, inspired by Mike’s grandmother, its website explains. Over the past 25 years, the brand has expanded across four counties in Southern California. The first Corky’s location opened in Rancho Cucamonga in 2007.

“With the growth and development in the area and its down-home charm, we felt Highland would be the perfect community to bring our homestyle cooking,” said Jennifer Towles. “Adding jobs to the community is important to us as well, so we are extremely excited about this opening.”
