A new barcade will soon debut in Downtown Memphis. Currently under construction at 414 S Main St, Level Up has recently generated buzz on Reddit, prompting owner Ryan Marsh to share details about his new venture.

Marsh said that the main floor of the barcade, dubbed “Level Up,” will feature 20 arcade games, along with pinball and skee ball machines. Patrons can also enjoy a selection of retro console games like Super Nintendo, PS1, and Xbox—all available at no cost.

In addition to the variety of games, the venue will include a 14-by-8-foot TV over the bar and 10 65-inch TVs throughout the space, broadcasting sports and live game nights.

In the middle of the bar, revelers will find a hidden entrance that leads to a basement known as the “Secret Level Up.” This New York-style speakeasy will feature craft cocktails, Memphis BBQ, live music, and comedy.

If everything goes according to plan, Marsh hopes to unveil the barcade—which he says has been in the works for over 10 years—in roughly two months. Follow Level Up on Instagram for the latest updates.
