A new sports bar is coming to Memphis.
El Andariego Sports Bar is set to open at 3407 Summer Ave, according to recently filed city permits.
Owner Gael Reyes told What Now Memphis that he plans to offer a distinct menu featuring Hispanic dishes from cultures such as El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. Although he originally considered Mexican cuisine, Reyes instead opted for a unique alternative to the area’s abundance of Mexican restaurants.
For support, Reyes is leaning on his mother, a former club owner, who is helping with the space. The bar will initially feature TVs showing a variety of sports, with the possibility of adding amenities like a pool table in the future.
El Andariego, which translates to “The Wanderer,” is expected to open in late January or early February 2025, pending renovations and inspections.
