A 100% vegan, mushroom-centric restaurant is making some exciting changes.

Shroomlicious Meals is pausing operations at its current commercial kitchen space while owner-chef Daishu McGriff prepares to relocate to her new storefront. McGriff, affectionately known as the “mushroom queen” by her social media followers, announced the news on Instagram:

Memphis, this isn’t goodbye—it’s “see you later.” After much thought, we’ve decided to pause operations until we open in our new location. During this time, we’ll still bring you monthly pop-ups, signature events, festival appearances, and online products to enjoy at home… We’re focusing on growing our brand so that when you think of mushrooms, you think of us! 🥰🍄 Thank you for the love, Memphis. BRB—and as always stay shroomy!

Founded in 2021, Shroomlicious Meals serves plant-based versions of classic comfort food, including Shroomilicious Wings, Shroom Catfish Sandwiches, Philly Cheesesteaks, Shroom Crunch Wraps, and Sticky Shroom Smashburgers.

According to The Daily Memphian, the new space, located at 472 N Watkins St, will be a “mushroom haven,” offering smaller events with themed nights, as well as cooking and tasting experiences.

McGriff told What Now Memphis that Shroomlicious Meals will reopen sometime in the spring of 2025, with the last day of service at the current 394 N Watkins St location set for January 31.
