A longstanding North Memphis eatery has temporarily closed as it prepares to move to a new home in Raleigh.

The Kitchen Restaurant is relocating from 1420 Jackson Ave to a commercial strip at 3275 Austin Peay Hwy. The new space will span 1,270 square feet, according to newly filed city permits.

Although owner Andrew Boyland—who has operated the restaurant for roughly 11 years—was unavailable for comment, partner Latoya Scott briefly confirmed the news with What Now Memphis.

While she did not provide a reason for the move or a reopening timeline, a recent Instagram update from the eatery shows signage being installed at the new location.

The Kitchen is known for its fast-casual comfort menu, featuring burgers, fish, wings, sandwiches, and more. Patrons can expect a similar lineup at the new Raleigh spot.
