A brand new restaurant is coming to 3530 W 63rd Street. Leonard McGee has filed a liquor license for a new eatery named Shoubt’s Grill.

On a brief call with What Now Chicago Monday, the restaurateur kept information close to his vest, but McGee says the restaurant will feature seafood and a banquet hall and open in a few months.

While McGee was hush-hush on the matter of Shoubt’s Grill, he did mention that restaurateuring runs in the family. His uncle, John Woods, owns the thriving Shrimp Stop restaurant located at 3849 W Madison St and has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant business, he said.

The 2,500 square foot building on West 63rd Street was empty when it sold in 2019, according to a real estate listing for the property. Shoubt’s Grill will sit near Wrightwood Station Commuter Rail and a seven-minute drive from Chicago Midway International Airport.
