In June 2021, Bartlett restaurateur Rakesh Chopra rebranded his popular eatery D’licious Crepes and Roti to Bovino Lounge, a fusion-tapas concept, and not long after, he announced plans to open Le P’tit, a concept serving French and Spanish cuisine, expected to open near Banbury Fair which is located at 211 W. Railroad Avenue.
Chopra will renovate a historic barn, first built in 1882, reports the Daily Herald. The bar has been designated a historic building by the Bartlett Historical Society.
Jan and Bruce Suffern, who’ve owned the barn for the last 39 years, told the Daily Herald they wanted to work with Chopra because he is “a risk taker” and a “brilliant chef.”
Renovations will include building out two bathrooms and establishing a water and sewer service connection with the city. Once up and running, Chopra intends to hold live entertainment events occasionally outdoors.
Once open , Le P’tit will offer a tapas menu with a wine bar and the converted barn will provide a “quaint feel.” Fresh crepes are also on the menu.
