A new Taco Casa spot will be opening in Arlington soon. It will be the restaurant chain’s fourth location in the city.

Coming to 6914 US 287 Frontage Rd, the 1,951 square foot space will be a new construction that is expected to be completed in the latter part of the year. It is being brought to the area by owner Joey Milner who operates several other Taco Casa locations within North Texas.

Founded by Rod Wilkin, the very first Taco Casa opened in 1974 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Over the years, it has become a staple in the Tuscaloosa community and beyond after expanding to several other states. The brand’s lengthy history can be read on its website.

Taco Casa serves up a variety of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and nachos. Favorite dishes include beef and chicken casa pizzas, beef taco burgers, tostadas, and chimalupas. There’s also chili, for some reason.

The brand also ships burritos nationwide to those who just can’t live without their Taco Casa. After an order is placed, the brand makes the burritos at one of their locations, freezes them overnight, and then packs them in a cooler box with dry ice before sending them along.
