Fate diners, get ready to indulge your yen for fast-casual Chinese fare. Internationally beloved chain Panda Express is opening a new restaurant in the area.
The popular concept is getting a completely freshly erected building at I-30 & Memorial Parkway to serve its distinctive brand of Chinese-American cuisine. According to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Panda Express’s new home will occupy 2,697 square feet.
The TDLR documents show that work began on the $2,000,000 project on November 18, 2024 and is set to wrap by November 18 of this year. While an opening date is not currently available, the construction timeline suggests locals may be enjoying a heaping serving of orange chicken by late 2025 or early 2026.
Panda Express began its journey of fast-casual domination in Glendale, California, in 1983. The intervening years have seen the brand expand and develop an ardent fan-following, thanks to its menu featuring favorites including teriyaki chicken, Beijing beef, and the previously alluded to orange chicken. The chain now has more than 2,400 storefronts worldwide.
