Irving locals, get ready to greet fast-casual royalty. Smoothie King, the incredibly prolific concept known for providing healthier options to diners on the move, has filed the papers to open a new location in the neighborhood.

Helmed by franchisee Lanetta Williams, the eatery will be setting up its blenders at 3143 West Airport Freeway, Suite 104. Williams is no stranger to the Smoothie King brand; she opened her first storefront in Fort Worth in 2023.

Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that work is set to commence on the space on March 3, 2025 and should wrap by June 2 of this year. Once completed, the project-described as a “finish-out on the ground floor of a new shell building”-will provide Smoothie King with 1,405 square feet for greeting and serving customers.

Both Irving and Smoothie King are in good hands with Williams at the wheel. The franchisee previously explained to What Now Dallas that the brand aligns with her own principals and priorities, stating: “I love smoothies. I have one every single day. It was just a brand that I could stand behind because they are about health and wellness.”

Smoothie King first began serving customers in Los Angeles in 1973. The brand’s meteoric rise has led to over 1,400 locations across the globe.
