Duffer’s Bar and Grille will soon open at 3609 S Dawson St, Aurora, CO 80014 inside the Meadow Hills Golf Course, according to a liquor license filed with the city and confirmed by co-owner Jim Bosman. A grand-opening date has yet to be specified.

Jim and his wife Stacey also own Tin Cup Bar & Grill (and Catering), the Meadow Hills location, which will become Duffer’s sister store on the golf course. The Tin Cup was established in 1999 and has since developed into a delicious, downhome pitstop for hungry and thirsty linksmen looking for good prices and cold beer. The kitchen whips up standard fare like breakfast, burgers, salads, burritos, and, of course, cheesy & deep-fried appetizer platters.

It’s unclear what kind of food Duffer’s Bar and Grille will serve, but the name itself and its similarity to the Tin Cup’s moniker, suggest the two might share more than a few menu items – perhaps with a twist, upgrade, or regional theme applied. However, the term “Duffer” is used to describe a mediocre or poor golfer, so, perhaps, the Kaplans’ new establishment will be serving up more booze than burgers to those who hit nothing but bogeys all day.

What Now Denver reached out to Jim Bosman for further comment, but did not receive an immediate response.
