Mariscos Los 3 Rios, a restaurant concept devised by Alfonso Vega Simental, may soon open at 921 S. Havana St, Aurora, CO 80012, according to a liquor license filed with the city.

The location, which once housed the family-friendly American classics establishment Village Inn, remained empty for quite some time before Simental purchased the building from owner Barbara Kay Kuller in 2019. The project experienced unidentified delays but seems to be back on track.

While What Now Denver did not make immediate contact with Simental, Kuller told WND that upon purchasing the building, Simental told her it would eventually serve up the best Mexican food in the state.

It’s unclear if this is Simental’s first restaurant venture as his other businesses appear to be a tire and auto body shop.
