TOCA Denver (formerly Bladium), a large sports and workout facility just east of downtown Denver at 2400 Central Park Blvd., is updating and expanding its concessions area, according to a permit filed with the city. Its snack bar has offered quick bites, beer, and wine since 2002.
“We’ve changed the floor plan, opened up more food space, and we’re adding seating and better food options to better accommodate family and gym members,” general manager April Albertson said in a conversation with What Now. “We’re updating the area and adding sports screens for a better vibe in there.”
This includes fast casual items like chicken tenders and tater tots. The new zone is being amended to fit up to 100 people. This will include the area around TOCA’s indoor soccer fields, extending into the birthday party areas so “parents can have a beer while they watch their kids play soccer.”
This will incorporate 10 taps that include local craft beers in addition to Pacifico, Modelo, and Dos Esquis. The latter are the most popular items as TOCA has a “very vibrant Latin community” that attends and participates in the facility’s many soccer programs.
The new area will open after TOCA completes the liquor license amendment process with the city of Denver.
