Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen will be bringing its comfort food fixings to Lafayette, city records show. A site development plan was submitted for a new build location at 831 US-287.
The documents show that Popeyes’ goal is to construct a “2,447-square-foot drive-through restaurant on a 1 acre lot.” Cole & Associates, Inc. is listed as the civil engineer and landscape architect for the project, and Coralic Architecture is the architect.
Zubha Pop Foods, LLC. is listed as the owner of the property. That business is an entity of Dhanani Group, a large-scale franchisee of Popeyes and Burger King restaurants, as well as La Madeleine locations. with over 200 eateries nationwide.
The site where the QSR chain is building is in a newer retail center, with a 24 Hour Fitness, Tractor Supply Co, Kohl’s, and a Bank of America. It’s off US 287, a busy truck route, in the north part of Lafayette.
