Awi Sushi Adding Third Location in the Springs

The business is opening in the Northgate neighborhood.

Local chain Awi Sushi has a new location in the works, liquor license records show. The company, which has two local establishments already, will be opening at 1286 Interquest Parkway Suite 130.

The business received its liquor license for the new location last month. It is located a tad east of Davis Airfield and the Air Force Academy campus, in the Interquest Marketplace shopping center.

Awi Sushi, which was formerly under the Sawara chain, changed to an independent venture a few years ago. The business also opened a location called Awe Sushi Express in downtown Colorado Springs. 

The chain is open for lunch and dinner service every day, and has a menu that of more than 70 seafood rolls, along with soups, salads, and appetizers. The owner has more than a decade of experience in the Japanese restaurant industry.
