According to city records, a new Mexican eatery is coming to RiNo. Documents show a concept called La Playa will be going into the space at 4180 Wynkoop Ste 120, right across from the Mission Ballroom concert venue.

A building log permit that was filed recently is currently listed as “review in progress”. The business will be adding a new commercial kitchen, serving bar, walk-in coolers, and adding a glass door and food service window.

The menu for La Playa lists all the tropical Mexican fare: tacos, tostadas, tortas, burritos, al pastor, carnitas, shrimp, nachos, quesadillas, chips and queso. For breakfast, the venue will serve breakfast burritos, potatoes, and avocado toast. There will also be dessert items like ice cream and flan.

Records show that the project is listed at nearly a million dollars in valuation. About half of that is for the construction budget, as well as sizable amounts for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work that needs to be done at the property.
