Amidst the majestic beauty of Grand Lake is the historic Grand Lake Lodge, located at 15500 US-34 near Tonahutu Trailhead. The property’s high-end restaurant, Huntington House Tavern, will open soon, social media posts say.

Huntington House Tavern promises an elevated dining experience with gourmet cuisine and breathtaking panoramic mountain views. With a history dating back to 1920, the venue has been a beloved establishment in the community for a very long time.

Serving up dishes celebrating the rich flavors of the region is Executive Chef Karoline Schwartz’s team. She has enjoyed a bit of acclaim lately, after winning the Own Your Own contest last year and receiving $1 million to open a restaurant in North Carolina.

Whether it’s rainbow trout, crab cakes, fillet, and more, the eatery has something for everyone. It also serves breakfast (French toast, huevos rancheros, etc.) and has a yummy dessert menu (crème brûlée, cinnamon rolls, and more).
