Conveyor Belt Sushi is Coming to BoCo

A Kura Sushi location is slated to open fall 2025.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, a Japan-based conveyor-belt sushi chain, is set to open a new location in Boulder. According to the Denver Post, the brand will open its first Colorado outlet in the Front Range town by fall 2025. 

Known for its high-tech dining experience, Kura centers around small sushi trays that move past tables on a conveyor belt, allowing customers to select and pay by the plate.

This Boulder restaurant will be at the Twenty Ninth Street Mall. And more Colorado locations are coming in the future. The brand has more than 650 locations globally, including 68 in the U.S., with 11 more currently planned.

“We are thrilled to announce that Kura Sushi is coming to the State of Colorado! Known for its love of nature, vibrant community, and appreciation for fresh, quality ingredients, we’re opening our first location in the City of Boulder is the perfect place for our newest Kura location,” Newton Hoang, vice president, posted on LinkedIn.
