Black Rock Coffee Bar, a rapidly expanding coffee chain founded in Portland, is making moves to deepen its presence in Colorado Springs. According to The Gazette, the company is planning a location at 2933 Sage St., one of a few in the works in the city.
“We are incredibly excited to bring Black Rock Coffee Bar to Colorado Springs. This vibrant and family-focused community in the Pikes Peak region perfectly aligns with our mission to connect and serve local neighborhoods. Colorado Springs represents a tremendous opportunity for growth, and we look forward to expanding our footprint here in the coming years,” Mark Davis, CEO, told What Now Denver.
The article states that a preliminary proposal was submitted to city planners. A representative for Black Rock Coffee Bar confirmed that a lease was just signed for the address and that it’s too early to give a specific timeframe for the project, but that the brand hopes to open in Q3.
Real estate records show the property is currently home to a 2,196-square-foot car wash building sitting on a .37-acre lot in West Colorado Springs, just off I-25. It states that the location receives visibility from over 150,000 cars per day.
