SYC Temaki, the latest venture from SYC Concepts, is preparing to open its doors soon, according to New Denizen. Located at 1573 S. Colorado Blvd. in Denver’s Cory-Merrill neighborhood, the restaurant will specialize in temaki — a traditional Japanese hand-rolled sushi cone known for its fresh flavors and unique presentation.
The business posted on Instagram early this year, announcing that the “concept is finally materializing” after more than four years of planning. While it did not give a specific date, it stated that the restaurant will be opening sometime in the spring.
It’s the creation of SYC Concepts, a new sister company to One Concept Restaurant Group. The entity has been a defining figure in Denver’s Asian culinary scene for nearly two decades, with popular restaurants such as Go Fish Sushi, Miya Moon, Mikaku Ramen & Temaki, Blossom, Honey Basil Asian Grill, and The Bronze Empire under its belt.
As What Now Denver previously reported, SYC Concepts is also working to launch Blossom by SYC a high-end Chinese joint that is due to premiere around the same time. That establishment is taking over the former El Chingon Bistro space in LoHi.
