The iconic Grizzly Rose is expanding its country music empire with a brand-new sister location set to open in Colorado Springs, according to a local tip. The new venue, dubbed Whiskey Rose, promises to bring the same high-energy live music and honky-tonk fun to 5781 N Academy Blvd.

Established in 1989, Grizzly Rose has earned a reputation as the state’s premier country music venue for live country performances. It has hosted legendary artists like Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, and Taylor Swift at its sprawling 40,000-square-foot space, its website boasts

Reddit posts reveal that the establishment will take over the Whiskey Baron Dance Hall & Saloon. That concept announced on social media earlier this month that it was sold to Grizzly Rose, which is owned by Scott Durland.

“The word is out that we have sold the business and our days are numbered. Our last day is coming soon. So please come out and celebrate the Whiskey Baron as you know it today!” the company wrote.
