A St. Louis-based Halloween pop-up bar concept is coming to Nashville this fall as part of a multi-state expansion. Numbskull Halloween Invasion will operate in East Nashville’s Pearl Diver this October from the minds of mixologists Tim Wiggins and Kyle Mathis.
“For five years we have been whipping up sickly good cocktails and super spooky vibes in St. Louis, MO. What began as an intimate Halloween Pop-Up cocktail bar at one location under the name ‘Corpse Reviver’ now has venues throughout the midwest with locations in Alabama, Tennessee, Colombia, MO, and St. Louis, MO,” states the Numbskull website.
The pop-up bar will include six diverse cocktails anchoring its menu, with various impressive ingredients ranging from sundried tomato sherry, forbidden rice gin, green cardamom, squid ink, and aloe vera. Two “trick or treat” shot options will also be available along with collectible glasses, t-shirts, and temporary tattoos.
“We are really excited for the guest experience to be more immersive and fun and less formal than previous years. Pearl Diver has incredible cocktails and one of the best vibes of any bar in the country. We are thrilled to partner with them and throw the best Halloween cocktail party ever,” Wiggins told What Now Nashville.
When asked which of the six is his favorite, Wiggins shared that the Human Canvas cocktail, perhaps the most adventurous of the options, is the one he’s partial to.
“I really love the Human Canvas cocktail. It is an earthy and yet cooling cocktail with squid ink, mezcal and aloe vera and garnished with a Numbskull temporary tattoo. I also really love the Inside Out Man cocktail. It is a savory riff on a Manhattan cocktail that tastes and smells like fall,” Wiggins stated.
Wiggins and Mathis also operate a mixology consultancy program called Bangers Only, which operates to help train bartenders to make the most of their bar program.
