The Harbor Gateway North Neighborhood Council‘s planning committee will review and possibly vote on plans for an 84-unit apartment project at 11630 – 11646 S. Main St., according to its Saturday meeting agenda.

The developer behind the project is SoLa Impact, which would set aside 20 units for low-income households with the project. It is requesting Tier-3 project incentives under the city’s transit-oriented communities program, such as an approximately 15-foot height increase and 34-unit (or 65-percent) density bonus.

On Saturday, SoLa Impact CEO Martin Muoto and Director of Development Josh Oppenhuis will present the project to the council’s committee members, who will then discuss the plans and potentially finalize a recommendation to the neighborhood council board, the agenda shows.

Named Triple Main, the proposed project would rise six stories, replacing a roughly 3,000-square-foot, fire-damaged auto body shop. Plans call for 71 one-bedrooms, nine two-bedrooms, and four three-bedrooms along with 42 parking spaces and 72 bicycle spaces. Residents would also have access to amenities such as a second-level courtyard and rooftop recreational deck.

The proposed development first went before the Harbor Gateway North Neighborhood Council as a discussion-only topic in early February, What Now Los Angeles reported at the time.
