New York City-based Shake Shack is opening a new location in Wilshire Center-Koreatown, located at 3785 W. Wilshire Blvd.

The well-known burger chain continues to expand throughout Los Angeles, joining a location in Silver Lake opening later this year. The company now gets ready to open a new 2,770 square foot location on the ground floor of the Solair Condos on Wilshire, joining Starbucks, Edible Arrangements, and 7-Eleven. The brand new Shake Shack next to the UPS will open in Spring or Summer 2022. CEO Randy Garutti has opened hundreds of locations worldwide, with over a dozen in Los Angeles County.

This will become an ideal spot for the new burger joint, which only has to compete with Mama’s Good Burger and Coast Burger. Now, residents of Koreatown and Central Los Angeles won’t have to travel to Downtown or the Hollywood area to get one of their burgers. If that wasn’t good enough, the company just released its buffalo chicken sandwich and fries late last month.

Shake Shack continues to grow its legacy with its increase in locations. Founder Danny Meyer started the company in 2001 out of a hot dog cart inside Madison Square Park. Eventually, the hot dog cart moved to a stand and expanded to hamburgers and milkshakes. In 2010 Shake Shack opened its first restaurant outside of New York City in Miami’s South Beach. Today the company is one of the fastest-growing burgers chains, donating over 12,000 meals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
