Orange County’s first 100% vegan charbroiled burger restaurant, Nice Guys 100% Vegan, is opening its first Los Angles location in Long Beach, located at 2620 Long Beach Blvd. Ste. A.
The company currently has three locations in Orange County: Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, and a recently opened site in Stanton. Now, the new 700 square-foot location will move into the former home of Sky Bowl Superfood later this year. The company signed a 10-year lease agreement starting in April 2022. Owner Don Phan opened the plant-based burger joint back in 2019, with the goal of saving the planet by replacing traditional beef patties with beyond meat (soy-free, gluten-free, non-GMO) and Gardein (non-GMO).
When the new restaurant does open, it will become a top choice for those visiting/ working at the Long Beach Medical Center, which is only one block away. Nice 100% Guys Vegan is taking its first crack at the Los Angeles scene by placing its new location at the center of a major fast-food hub. Surrounded by Burger King, McDonald’s, and Carl’s Jr., the restaurant hopes to become a new alternative for those hoping to escape from beef-based hamburgers. As for immediate neighbors, Nice Guys 100% Vegan will share a space with H&R Block, Taste of India, and California Sushi & Teriyaki within the Potomac Plaza.
100% guilt-free vegan burgers aren’t the only thing this restaurant specializes in. On top of the various burger options, they also offer a chicken sandwich, breakfast sandwiches, and plenty of sides such as tater tots, chicken nuggets, and sweet potato fries. For those with specific dietary restrictions, Nice Guys 100% Vegan takes pride in offering assistance in any way possible. Their website provides several options for those who are gluten intolerant, allergic to nuts, or interested in soy-free sauces or what kind of oil they use for frying (rice bran oil).
