Beachwood Brewing, an industrial-chic eatery with house-smoked beef, pork & fish, and craft beers, is looking to open one, possibly two, new locations in Long Beach.

Co-owner Gabriel Gordon confirms with What Now Los Angeles that he expects to open the new location at 2nd & PCH, located at 6400 Pacific Coast Hwy., sometime towards the end of June 2022. This new restaurant will have a 1,100 square-foot outdoor patio. The company also recently applied for a liquor license to replace Liberation Brewing Co. at 3630 Atlantic Ave., although Gordon could not comment on this development.

This would become the second and third locations in Long Beach, with sites in Huntington Beach and Garden Grove. The company used to have a small batch beer program called Beachwood Blendery, but its tasting room has since temporarily closed. On top of the delicious beer found at one of the company’s locations, fans of the beer can order delivery online. Beachwood Brewing also pops up occasionally at events throughout Southern California, including at the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest next month.

The company first started in 2006 to open Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach, which has since closed in 2019. Following the success of this restaurant, Gordon, along with co-founder Lena Perelman, teamed up with brewmaster Julian Shrago in 2011 to open a full-service brewpub in downtown Long Beach. With a full-scale production brewery and now multiple taprooms in various locations, Beachwood Brewing is designed to meet the growing demands of a diverse lineup of core beers, including distinctive West Coast-style IPAs, seasonal favorites, and limited releases.
