Los Angeles-based urban egg sandwich and coffee concept Egg Tuck is opening a new location in Westwood Village at 1049 Gayley Ave.

The company’s third location will move into the former home of Thai House and Kaido. Earlier this year, Toddrickallen pointed out new signage for a new eatery called Alligot Sandwich coming to the space. While the sign is still in the window, a new sign for Egg Tuck has been placed on the building. The exact opening date is unclear, but what is known is this new location will provide customers will plenty of delicious egg sandwiches. Egg Tuck currently has locations in Ktown and Hollywood.

Some of the restaurant’s popular dishes include the avo egg, bacon & cheese, and the royal west, with Tteok-Galbi (Galbi/Beef Short Rib Patty), an over-medium egg, cheddar cheese, pickles, and grilled onions. All sandwiches are served on a premium brioche bun freshly made in-house daily. On top of the delicious egg sandwiches, Egg Tuck also proudly serves Groundwork Organic Coffee & Drinks at select locations. There are also plenty of sides to go with the egg sandwiches, but none look as delicious as the famous egg tots.

Egg Tuck was founded by Alex Sohn right before the pandemic started. He launched the company from Hollywood at 7131 W. Sunset Blvd., Unit B. Since its opening, the restaurant has gathered the attention of several local publications, including Eater LA, Dine LA, Thrillist, Timeout LA, and LA Weekly, which ranked the company as having the best eggs in Los Angeles. Egg Tuck is also available via delivery apps and catering.
