The L.A. City Planning Commission just approved another drive-through-only Starbucks at 215 W Pacific Coast Hwy in Wilmington. This new store will be only 7 minutes down the street from another recently approved drive-through-only Starbucks at 1333 W Pacific Coast Hwy in Harbor City.

The property at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Fries Avenue was previously a used car dealership and is now a vacant surface parking lot. The new development will comprise a one-story, 1,112 square-foot, 24-hour drive-through.

In the midst of its continued expansion throughout the Golden State, the coffee giant also finds itself in the middle of a lawsuit by California residents Maria Bolliger, Dawn Miller and Shunda Smith.

The three plaintiffs, who are all either lactose intolerant or have a milk allergy, are suing the company for charging more for alternatives to lactose milk on the basis of discrimination, as lactose intolerance is recognized as a disability by the ADA. The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court in Fresno.
