After announcing the closure of its Malibu location at the end of March, Nicolas Eatery, a family-run restaurant, will be reopening in the Beverly Center. Owner Nicolas Fanucci told WNLA that they could be open as soon as the beginning of May, but did not share an official date.

Fanucci is hoping that the new location will bring more foot traffic than their former Malibu spot. The eatery will keep its French and Vietnamese-inspired menu which includes a variety of organic, locally sourced meats, vegetables and products.

“Our speciality is our vegetarian onion soup. We’ll also be serving steak frites, lobster roll, fried chicken sandwich, tuna burger with artichoke and olive tapenade, French omelets, organic wines, craft cocktails and more,” said Fanucci.

“The space is fresh, clean and very welcoming with warm green colors. We’re located on the sixth floor, and we have floor to ceiling glass windows with a great view of West Hollywood.”

Fanucci was born and raised in Cannes, France where he entered the hospitality business in his late teens. After working for more than three decades in numerous landmark European and American establishments including Roger Verge’s, Le Moulin de Mougin, and The French Laundry, he decided to open his own restaurants – Nicholas Eatery and its sister concept Deux Bistro, located in Woodland Hills.

Chef Thuy Tran, an award-winning chef who has worked at several restaurants throughout Vietnam and Russia, helms the kitchen where her Vietnamese culinary training is infused throughout the restaurant’s dishes.

The new Nicolas Eatery will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
