Ay Mi Pa, a California restaurant inspired by the roots and flavors of the Riviera Maya, is getting ready to open a new location in Northridge at 9301 Tampa Avenue, Unit 128.

The company’s third location is set to move into the former home of Amber’s Hallmark in the Northridge Fashion Center, according to a recent liquor license application. Owner Ruben Barragan tells What Now Los Angeles that he hopes to open Ay Mi Pa Northridge by the end of the year, possibly late November or early December. This will be the first time the company expands into Los Angeles County, as Ay Mi Pa currently has locations in Riverside and Bakersfield.

This is the latest from El Chef Pa, the founder of Fire Up Grill, and Mr. Taco. The original location of Ay Mi Pa is about 4000 square feet of Tulum-inspired Mayan Garden space. At this new location in Northridge, guests can expect creative cocktails and bold Mexican flavors in a great atmosphere. The restaurant will be open for lunch, dinner, and brunch, while happy hour will be from 3 pm to 6 pm Monday through Friday. Ay Mi Pa’s happy hour features a variety of options, including 16-ounce beer and Michelada, margaritas, margaritas flights, shots, well drinks, and more.

For food, the restaurant takes pride in offering a taste of Tulum in every bite. The restaurant offers a handful of brunch options on the weekends and during the week from 11 am to 3 pm, offering everything from chilaquiles and huevos con chorizo to waffles and steak & eggs. Ay Mi Pa also features a handful of quick bites, such as a street taco or nacho fries, and a handful of specialty dishes. For the full Tulum experience, it’s recommended to go during dinner, where the restaurant has various options, including sushi, salads, enchiladas, hamburgers, and house favorites, such as Camarones a la diabla and glazed salmon.
