A trio of Cajun-focused restaurants and hookah lounges is growing once again.

Flava House will open its fourth location at 496 N Watkins St in Midtown, taking over the former Mardi Gras Memphis space.

Once it debuts, the new eatery will join existing Flava House locations downtown, near the University of Memphis, and at the Kirby Gate retail center in Southeast Memphis.

Co-owner James Smith, who runs the restaurant alongside Jasmine Robinson, briefly told What Now Memphis that construction is underway at the new eatery, though an opening date has not yet been announced.

Flava House is known for its Cajun-inspired dishes, including alfredo pasta and jerk lamb chops, as well as American favorites like burgers, wings, and chicken tenders. The eatery also offers a variety of hookah flavors and cocktails.
