A brand new event venue called PINE is getting ready to debut near NoDa at The Pass, located at 530 E. Sugar Creek Road and 4100 and 4212 Raleigh Street.
The 12-acre site will be home to three phases of The Pass, led by Atlanta-based developer Third & Urban, starting with Pass 41, according to Charlotte Observer. The first phase of the project includes the new location of Soul Gastrolounge, Borderline Bar & Billiards, and PINE, which will be the first venue in North Carolina for 828 Venue Management Company. All three businesses are expected to open in Spring 2024.
PINE will sit in a 12,000-square-foot restored warehouse with 6,300 square feet of unique event space featuring a built-in bar, a catering kitchenette, space for two client suites, a fully furnished lounge overlooking the main event space, and seating for a total of 320 people. The new event venue will be used to host weddings, corporate events, social celebrations, and more.
Other features of Pass 41 include walkable retail, entertainment, and office space, as well as local art murals and outdoor gathering spaces. The following projects, Pass 42 and Pass 43, will feature creative and retail businesses, along with upscale multifamily units. The first residents are expected to move in the Summer of 2025.
“The character of the original buildings, mixed with the new construction, the infusion of local art, and the direct connectivity to trails, greenspace, and transit, makes this place special,” Hank Farmer, co-founder of Third & Urban, tells Charlotte Observer. “We look forward to welcoming the public to The Pass over the course of the next year.”
