After announcing plans to open the first Jacksonville location this time last year, Salvatore’s Old Fashion Pizzeria is looking to expand significantly in the area, with at least ten locations coming soon.

Previous What Now Jacksonville reported on the company’s first location coming to Jacksonville, led by franchise owner Ferdinand Formoso. Last year, the company received a permit to build a 1,180-square-foot shop at 4820 Deer Lake W., No. D-11, at an estimated $200,000. Dr. Formoso tells What Now Jacksonville that he hopes to open the first location in mid-February 2024. This is the first of ten sites he has agreed to open in the Jacksonville area over the next five years.

This is a perfect time for the company to expand into Florida, considering Salvatore’s recently introduced a new specialty pizza of the month, with last month being the Bozza Ravioli Pie. This pizza features a Garlic Oil base with Lots of Mozzarella, Bozza Five Cheese Ravioli, and giant chunks of Italian Sausage, finished with a Rosa Sauce swirl. The pizza was available for one month only. Salvatore’s did not announce a pizza of the month for January.

“Salvatore’s Pizza started working with Bozza Pasta back in 1978, when Michael Bozza, the current owner, was only 14 years old,” according to the company’s website. “With the Grand Opening of the new Bozza Pasta facility in Greece this past summer, the Salvatore’s Pizza family wanted to show their support for a longstanding local family business in Rochester. “
