Mittera filed a WARN notice with the state of Florida on May 18, 2026. In the filing, the company said it will shut down operations at 10301 Busch Drive North in Jacksonville. Affected employees were notified of the closure on the same day.
The filing stated that the plant is closing due to the decision by its primary customer to move its work to another provider. Layoffs are expected between July 17 and December 31, 2026.
The company said it will continue providing wages and benefits during the transition period. The company is also attempting to find other positions for the affected employees within the organization.
