“Big win for Osceola County,” said a post published by OrlandowithMario on Instagram. “Trader Joe’s just confirmed its first-ever Osceola location is coming to The Loop West in Kissimmee: 12,500 sq ft, permits filed April 21, no opening date yet (shoutout to Riley Benson with Orlando Business Journal for the reporting).”

With stores around the country, Trader Joe’s offers a full range of food products, offering everything from staples to frozen foods, to canned goods, to prepared foods.

Opening at the Loop West, Trader Joe’s would join a retail community that includes brands like Burlington, Ulta Beauty, and JCPenney, as well as restaurants like BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, and Bonefish Grill.

The OrlandowithMario post suggests that the arrival of a brand like Trader Joe’s indicates that the area is on the verge of a growth boom.

“To the best of my knowledge, these brands do serious demographic research before committing to a market,” the post says. “So when they show up, it’s usually confirmation that an area has hit a tipping point, not a guess. What do you think?”

“It’s about time Kissimmee gets something good,” one commenter said. “It seems that all new good stores are going to either Lake Nona or Waterford Lakes.”

“Hurry UP!!” said another.

It looks like the Kissimmee area is looking forward to getting nearby access to Trader Joe’s legendary product selection.

“Our buyers travel the world searching for products we think are exceptional and will find a following among our customers,” says the Trader Joe’s website. “To earn a spot on our shelves, each product is submitted to a rigorous tasting panel process, in which every aspect of quality is investigated in context of the price we can offer. If a product is assessed as an outstanding value, it becomes an essential part of the Trader Joe’s shopping adventure.”
