A franchisee of The Loop Restaurant, known for its juicy burgers, hearty salads, cheesy pizzas, and hand-spun shakes, is looking to open more locations, specifically in Ponte Vedra Beach and Oakleaf Plantation.
Franchisee Maurilios Gonzalez is opening his second location in St. Augustine at 150 Village Commons Drive but plans to open more following that. First, he will focus on the opening at World Golf Village, which is scheduled to open in early April if all goes according to plan. After this opens, Gonzalez tells What Now Jacksonville that he is actively looking to open in Ponte Vedra Beach and Oakleaf Plantation. The timeline for these openings is unclear.
The Loop already owns and operates a handful of locations throughout Florida and North Carolina with the help of franchise owners. In Northeast Florida, there are about a dozen locations that reach up to Fernandina Beach, while North Carolina has four additional sites. Since The Loop was founded in 1981, the company’s spirit of its driving mission, LoopLove, is expressed daily using the best ingredients, lighthearted design, and unparalleled employee benefits. On top of serving delicious food and drinks, the company supports numerous charities, schools, and organizations.
“Each Loop restaurant is unique—what links us is our craveable menu and experience and our desire to make a difference,” according to the company’s website. “We are inspired to think and act beyond our restaurants and to serve and reflect each community we’re in for the greater good. To that end, we partner with City Rescue Mission in Jacksonville, FL, to help combat drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness, and hunger by offering their dessert line, Charis Chocolates.”
