Flamingo Coffee, a concept originally born as a dive bar, is getting ready to open a new brick-and-mortar location in Jacksonville at 1200 Riverplace Blvd.

The company’s second site is moving into a 1,700-square-foot first-floor space in the Hanania Building, according to Jacksonville Business Journal. There is no timeline for the new location. This is just the beginning for co-owners Donald Webb, Joseph Bartley, and Paul Carr, who are also planning to bring Flamingo Coffee to the West Coast, hoping to bring the concept to Newport Beach first. The first company is currently found in Murray Hill at 1176 Edgewood Ave.

In the meantime, the company will be found at Goals, a month-long pop-up cafe in collaboration with Riverside United Soccer Club, running from June 14th – July 14th, located in Springfield at 347 E. 8th St. The space will be used to show every Euro & Copa America 2024 game, as well as some MLS & Armada games. Once the new location in the Hanania Building opens, the team will focus on expanding and hosting more pop-ups throughout the area. The company owners strongly believe in collaborating with local businesses and becoming a local staple in Jacksonville, mainly because the support led the team to this opportunity to expand.

“People. I think that’s a big reason why we’re growing and why we’re successful,” Carr told the Business Journal. “The coffee’s great, but it’s people who were supportive of us and of our brand. And during Covid, we found ourselves running all over town and seeing more and more familiar faces. At some point, as much as we’re in the coffee business, and in the beer and wine business, we’re in the people business. So, if we can curate a space with good music and good vibes and good service, people can be around each other and connect with each other.”
