Tikka Bowls and Tacos, a popular Indian-Mexican fusion restaurant, is preparing to open a new location in Jacksonville at 10131 San Jose Blvd., Unit 8.
The company’s third Northeast Florida site is set to replace Berndt Ends BBQ in the Crown Point Plaza shopping center, according to the Florida Times-Union. Co-owners Bhavin and Krupal Patel hope to open the new 2,000-square-foot space by October 2024, if not sooner. The brothers are currently in the permitting process and are hoping for a 60-day construction period. Tikka Bowls and Tacos also has locations in Tapestry Park and Saint Johns, plus a franchised site in Arlington, Texas.
When the company opens this new location, customers can expect fresh, made-to-order customizable bowls and tacos with customizable toppings and proteins, such as chicken, steak, and goat. Some fan favorites include the tikka masala bowl, smoked tikka masala bowls, and naan tacos and burritos. Tikka Bowls and Tacos also have Vegetarian and vegan options, including plant-based chicken. This is just the beginning for the company, as the owners hope to expand to downtown Orlando by the end of the year with a potential franchisee.
