According to recent public records, a new independent retro restaurant is coming to High Springs.

“Dearest Reader,” a recent Facebook post begins.

“What a productive week it’s been at Serendipity Vintage Soda & Sweets! Every week, a new part of our vision for this historic building comes to life, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.”

“This week, we boxed in the distressed brick columns with fresh lumber and recreated the original wainscoting pattern from 120-year-old wood paneling that once adorned the area in front of what will soon be our kitchen. I’ve included photos of the building from 2023 and 1980—it’s fascinating to see how the façade has changed over the years!”

“Inside, our electricians are hard at work rewiring the entire space, and they expect to wrap up the Soda Shop next week before moving on to the Sweeteasy. We’ve also carved out a special spot in the front of the store for a *Player Piano*, as we want every visit to be a full sensory experience—sight, sound, smell, and taste.”

The establishment will be serving up homemade ice cream, donuts, candies and soda will be served from the pharmacy’s original restored soda fountain.
