The Michigan-based “nicecream” brand, Milkster Nitrogen Creamery, is gearing up to open one of its first Florida locations this fall at 5178 County Line Rd in Lakeland, according to franchisee Joel Covitz.

“We’re excited to finally open and look forward to what we can bring to the community,” Covitz tells What Now Tampa

Founded in 2017, Milkster Nitrogen Creamery – aka Nice Modern Creamery – offers custom, made-to-order ice cream using a proprietary liquid nitrogen technology that “provides a super smooth texture while eliminating the need for extra preservatives and emulsifiers,” according to the company’s website. What’s more, Milkster “[strives] to use the most organic, natural ingredients available,” and “teamed up with some great local companies,” to develop its flavors.

Perhaps more importantly though, Milkster partners with the Hope Water Project for its #CupForCup initiative, which brings clean water to the Pokot people of Western Kenya, making good on their belief that “dessert can change the world.”

In addition to the Lakeland location, Milkster has 11 outposts across seven states that are either open or opening soon, including Jacksonville and Clearwater.
