Located at 237 East Davis Blvd in Tampa, wine bar and market The Cork Room offers guests a selection of wines that are “locally sourced, locally owned & enjoyed to the last drop.” According to recent coverage by St. Pete Rising, The Cork Room is preparing to expand with a new location in St. Petersburg.

The new location will open on the ground floor of a five-story apartment building that opened at 357 Fifth Street South last year. Owner John Harr told St. Pete Rising that guests can expect to find the same sort of selection that has made the Tampa location a success.

“We’ll have some stuff that you can’t find everywhere,” Harr told St. Pete Rising.

The main difference, Harr says, is a smaller kitchen. The 700-square-foot space doesn’t provide room for a frier, but the new location can be expected to offer flatbreads, pasta, and charcuterie.

The Cork Room will open this May at 457 Fifth Street South in St. Pete.
