Bethesda foodies will soon be able to enjoy some of the DMV’s best barbecue. Silver and Sons, which earned raves and fans as a food truck, is making its presence felt in Maryland by opening a brick and mortar in the Westbard Square development, reports local media outlet Eater Washington DC.

The concept will be bringing its innovative Jewish and Mediterranean interpretations of American barbecue to 5400 Westbard Avenue this fall. The new shop will be low-key and welcoming; at only 800 square feet, Silver and Sons will emphasize carry-out. However, there will be space for up to eight diners who can’t wait to get home to enjoy their feasts.

In a statement released to Patch, owner Jarrad Silver expressed his enthusiasm for the next stage of his culinary career. He says: “This is such an exciting time for the Washington-area barbecue scene. One of our main advantages is we don’t have a set regional style. Without the constraints of a rigid local tradition, small, creative operators like us can innovate and play with new flavors and styles while staying true to the soul of American barbecue.”
