Something fishy is happening at Union Market later this year. Cordelia Fishbar, the latest concept from Clyde’s Restaurant Group, is on track for an autumn opening, reports local media outlet PoPville.

Construction is underway on the restaurant, which will focus on creating a unique and comprehensive seafood dining experience, at 550 Morse Street NE. Cordelia will take up a sprawling 10,000 square feet on the ground floor of the Morse apartment building. The eatery will have seating for up to 250 customers and will offer outdoor dining for guests who prefer to enjoy their meals al fresco.

Clyde Restaurant Group President John McDonnell states on the business’s website that the hospitality group is enthusiastic about entering the seafood market. He states: “Our oyster and seafood program at CRG has been very robust for decades, yet we have never focused exclusively on offering a seafood driven restaurant. The chance to build a menu with a more eclectic and ambitious focus on seafood and the ability to both grill and roast with charcoal has our chefs giddy with excitement.”
